About Us

Debbie and Daniel Price are pleased to offer this aquatic facility for the dogs of Oklahoma City. Both have shared their childhoods with wonderful dog companions. Their home together has been enriched throughout the years by dogs: Joey, Sara, Rusty, Buddy, Fred, and now Ralph & Odin, along with a couple of cats: Samantha & now Willie

Debbie has a degree in Information Technology and worked for a local laboratory for 18 years before deciding to open The Water Bark. Her own experiences with her dogs led to the opening of this canine swim center. She went on to get certified in canine aquatic therapy, knowing that working with dogs every day was and always has been her passion.  Debbie is a certified canine aquatic therapist, and certified canine conditioning and fitness coach with background training in canine conditioning, canine fitness training, and therapeutic fitness for dogs. She has continuing education credits in canine hydrotherapy, keeping up with the latest techniques and innovations in this new field. Please don't hesitate to ask about our qualifications.

Dan worked for a rental company in OKC for over 20 years and when the company decided to close he realized it was time to do something for work that made him happy every day. His contracting skills that he learned from his father definitely were instrumental in creating the facility. Dan received his certification in canine aqua therapy in 2022, and specializes in working with senior dogs.

All of our dogs have taught us valuable lessons in dog behaviors. Joey was a non-stop chewer and an escape artist when away from the house.  He loved to hike and run in the fields and taught us how much we loved being outdoors with our dogs. Sara was a sweet dog that let us realize that some dogs can love all people-but not all dogs. Rusty was a wonderful hiker who never had to be trained to stay right by your side during the whole hike. Buddy an excellent athlete and avid swimmer, and showed us most dogs love going on adventures with you but not all dogs like the dog park. He also taught us that playing ball NEVER got old. Fred has taught us that some dogs can get along with all other dogs-as long as they get along with him. We have learned from Fred that a tired dog at the end of the day is an extremely happy dog and happy family. Ralph has taught us so far that dogs love mental stimulation along with physical. He also has taught us that if you are going to bring an energetic dog into your home, it is your responsibility to provide that dog with a positive outlet for their energy! Odin has taught that despite physical disabilities-he will try anything you put in front of him...even if he can't or shouldn't.  We have so much fun everyday watching him grow and strengthen himself physically and mentally.

Buddy started our thoughts on opening a facility like The Water Bark several years ago when he began have difficulty with his knees and his passion for playing ball never stopped-even when he became virtually blind and we had to drop the ball right in front of him for him to "get it".  He always did. His passion for continuing to try made us realize that if you give a dog a chance and help to continue to live their lives as pain free and active as possible - they will most likely take you up on it. We are very excited to start The Water Bark and look forward to working with you and your beloved canine.
