Every swim is done by appointment only.  We cannot accommodate walk-ins.

Our swim sessions are by appointment only because we do have dogs that come in that are dog aggressive.  We do our best to keep everyone safe while entering and exiting our facility.  Your dog is always welcome as long as they get along with people.  Sorry, no people aggressive dogs allowed.

Yes, we will require a veterinarian consent form if your dog has been diagnosed with any condition.  We generally require the form for any dog 10 and over for their safety also. We will also need a current copy of your dog's vaccinations, along with our client registration form.

We are experienced in helping dogs get comfortable with swimming.  Not all of our therapy clients love swimming, but they do act as if they love how they feel afterwards.  We make sure the dog is always safe and we try to make them as comfortable as possible during their session.

Unfortunately that is a hard question to answer.  Every dog is different, just like people.  Some dogs recover quickly, some dogs take longer.

No, we do not have an underwater treadmill.  We are strictly swim therapy using two therapists, one working with the dog in the water, and one helping the dog enter and exit the pool.  There are several local Veterinarians in town that offer underwater treadmill therapy.

Canine water therapy is scheduled for 30 minutes. The orientation swim will have an additional 15 minutes (not swimming) in the beginning to get the dog introduced to us and our environment. Be aware that not all dogs may swim the full 30 minutes on an orientation swim, we may have to adjust it down according to how much the dog can handle physically.

No.  Dog owners are NOT allowed in the pool.  If we determine on the orientation swim that your dog is sufficient in the pool, owners may be allowed to be on the deck tossing toys for the dogs. Every dog must go through an orientation swim.

Yes.  The Water Bark team have trained thousands of dogs to become swimmers.

We do NOT offer group swims, however, if you have more than one dog of your own, we may be able to have family dogs swim together. Each session is done on an individual basis, so both dogs would have to go through an orientation swim alone before they could swim together.

We do require every dog to go through an orientation swim in order for them to be comfortable swimming in our environment. Contrary to belief, we have seen that not all dogs know how to swim, some are unfortunately not good at it.  Dogs that have only been swimming in lakes are usually uncomfortable the first time swimming in a pool. Pool swimmers sometimes need to get comfortable using our ramp.  For the dog's safety, this is not negotiable, sorry.

Please fill out the client registration and we require a copy of current vaccinations before we can swim any dog.
